500 years ago, in feudal Japan, there was a jewel that every living soul desired, the Shikon jewel. This jewel had enormous powers which caused greed, hatred and jealousy amongst the people. This jewel was then given to a priestess with very strong spiritual powers to purify. Her name was Kikyou. Kikoyu later on met a half demon named Inu-Yasha, he too wanted the jewel for himself. But kikyou did not kill him as she did the other demons, she sympathized him. They soon got along and eventually fell in love. Kikyou was ready to give the jewel to Inu-Yasha for him to become full human and live with her forever. But there was a jealous evil thief who got in the way. An evil demon tricked them into betrayal, and tried to kill eachother. Inu-Yasha then wanted to steal the jewel and become full demon. But Kikyou wouldn't allow it. She was hurt but used the last of her strength to shoot Inu-Yasha with her sacred arrow. It pinned him to a tree where he fell into an eternal sleep. Kikyou died afterwards and took the jewel with her. The Shikon jewel was never heard from again...until 500 years later. A girl named Kagome in the present got pulled down her family shrine's well and landed in the feudal era, 50 years after the tragedy. She somehow released Inu-Yasha from the tree and awoke him as well. Later on, the sacred Shikon jewel popped out of Kagome's body, but Kagome accidentally broke the jewel to bits, and it landed all over Japan. Inu-Yasha and Kagome must now collect all the pieces, before evil get to it. Later, Inuyasha and Kagome come across a fox demon named Shippo, a monk named Miroku, a demon cat named Kirara and a demon slayer named Sango join in to find the Shikon jewel. Eventually, Inuyasha and Kagome fall in love. The same goes for Sango and Miroku.

Inuyasha and Kagome... Even though they started out hating each other in the beginning, their friendship bond grew stronger with each and every adventure and their friendship eventually developed into love. Inuyasha and Kagome both don't really admit their feelings to one another, but it's there. They're always there for each other, no matter what happens between them (Episode 48: Return to the Place Where we First Met and Episode 38: Two Hearts, One Mind Episode 137: An Ancestor Named Kagome, Episode 125: The Darkness in Kagome's Heart, Episode 167: 167. The Two's Bond - Use the Shikon Shard!, Part Two or Episode 107. Inuyasha Sheds his Tears for the First Time. There are many more.) Inuyasha is always the one who saves Kagome and it's obvious that he cares A LOT about Kagome. For example, Inuyasha reacts quite strongly whenever Koga comes by and gets near her. You could say that he's quite overprotective over Kagome. Even though their relationship has its ups and downs, Kagome and Inuyasha's bond with each other continues to grow.

Sango and Miroku... Even though Miroku goes up to every pretty women he can see and ask them to bare his children, he has stronger feelings for Sango then any other girl. Sango, also delvelips feelings for the perverted monk. She gets extreamly mad at Miroku each time he flirts with anouther women. He likes rubbing her but a lot and gets hit by Sango. When they are having a romantic moment, he always runes it by rubbing her but. Even though Sango and Miroku agreed to spend the rest of there life together, Miroku still flirts. Miroku and Sango's best flirts are episode 132: Miroku's Most Dangerous Confession.

We find out Kouga loves on Kagome when he kidnapped her and she's "his woman." Of course Kagome gets offended and slaps him, but that still doesn't stop him. Kouga, later in time, finally sees how much Kagome loves Inuyasha, but still doesn't give up on her. Kagome only likes Kouga as a friend, but just goes a long on what he says to her, which pisses off Inuyasha, because he says Kagome is just sucking up to Kouga.
